Hi, I’m Chip

A man smiling and kneeling outdoors on a grassy field, holding a large fluffy white dog with a thick coat.

My path to woodworking wasn’t a traditional one. I earned a Ph.D in Physics from the University of Rhode Island in 2020. After completing my Ph.D., I spent the next 5 years working in the life sciences industry as a technical specialist. I helped scientists develop analytical methods, collaborated with research teams to improve new technologies, and served as a trusted technical resource for customers. It was a career built on problem-solving, precision, and communication—qualities I now bring to every project at Peace Dale Customs.

In 2024, I left my career to care for my mother during her battle with ALS. That chapter of my life reinforced the value of patience, dedication, and taking pride in meaningful work. When I founded Peace Dale Customs, I carried those lessons with me, approaching every project with the same care and attention to detail.

Today, I specialize in custom woodworking, furniture restoration, home repairs, outdoor living projects, and one-of-a-kind builds. Whether you have a clear vision or just an idea, I’d be glad to help bring it to life.
